I'm trying to diagnose a problem with my ipod touch (2nd gen, 32G) It has a random shut down problem that I posted on a few days ago. I've left the power cord connected to it for 4-5 days now only plugging the USB end in when the power gets low. As long as the cord is plugged in to the ipod, it behaves normally and does not randomly shut down. Once unplugged, it works fine until it goes to sleep and then randomly shuts down. It also shuts down sometimes when I plug in my headphones. Do any of you ipod tech savy folks know if this means that the problem is definately hardware? Does it mean that something is loose inside? Is it fixable?
Thanks

yup, thats hardware related, not software, but you can try to restore to factory by restoring it via itunes. but backup first, and try to restore and see what happends..
