Hey everyone,

I’ve got an iPhone 17 Pro and I’m debating whether to use an Apple Wallet with it or keep the phone “clean.”

With Wallet:

Without Wallet:

On one hand, the Apple Wallet seems super convenient – fewer things to carry, everything in one place. On the other hand, I feel like the phone looks nicer and lighter without it.

So I’m curious:

  • Do you think the iPhone looks better with the Apple Wallet attached, or without it?
  • How do you usually carry your iPhone and wallet in your day-to-day life?
    • Do you use an Apple Wallet (or similar MagSafe wallet)?
    • Or do you prefer a separate wallet?
I just love the carry things as low as I can, and with Apple Wallet it is not so bad, but make little bit bulkier and heavier, just it.

Would love to hear what you think and what you personally do. Thanks! 🙌

Personally prefer a clean back, my wallet mostly lives in my car as 99% of stores here in South Africa support Apple Pay’s tap-to-pay system. Only time I carry my wallet is if I am travelling out of town without my car e.g. flying out.

Another reason I keep wallet and phone separate is the high level of iPhone thefts here in Johannesburg and Cape Town, I am hesitant to have my wallet (with bank cards, drivers license and ID) stuck to my phone which is a hot target for theft, it would be a nightmare to have to apply for replacements for all the stuff in my wallet, so I prefer to keep them separate.

I carry a MagSafe wallet with three cards; my ID and two credit cards. It's not always on there as I only attach it when going somewhere. At work and at home, it's removed.

I don't think it looks better with or without. My wallet is old and beat to death, discolored and peeling, but it still holds cards, so it's fine.
