While I am concerned about the loss of Boot Camp, I have to admit that it has been years since I have used it seriously. I'm curious, how many macOS users currently use Boot Camp?

I wouldn't dismiss bootcamp being lost just yet. It will be up to Microsoft to support Apple silicon and license Windows ARM to consumers. Considering how Microsoft is under Satya, I wouldn't discount that possibility just yet. I mean Microsoft was already working so closely with Apple to have Office being native on Apple silicon!

Meanwhile, their own Surface Pro X is still running Office in x32 emulation... :D

Given that Windows on ARM exists, which would make it easier for Microsoft to support Apple’s custom SoCs.

Nope. I ditched Windows for Mac and haven't looked back. I still use my Microsoft e-mail address, though.

My understanding is that even if MS licenses Windows ARM, it will still only run software specifically compiled for Windows ARM. The software library is generally the only reason I would run Windows.
