No. But tell us why we should. :)

What makes it interesting? What can you get there that you can't in the forums? Why do you use it? Does it serve much of a purpose anymore?

Can't really sway you, not here to sway :) Was just wondering who uses it, but if you want a random conversation, pop by :p Blue Velvet reminds me of a song... hmm.

Heh. You don't have to sway me, but perhaps telling other people about it — and why IRC is still useful — might make a more interesting thread than people just saying yes or no.

Funnily enough, checked in on it briefly about a fortnight ago and it seemed deadly quiet.

Last time I used it was when the Forums were down. I needed my MR fix, so got it from there.

I use it always when one of my computers is on. Not always active but it's there. I'm either Hellhammer or Hellhammer-MBA.

A lot weird offtopic discussions ;) It's good for chatting, works as a time killer. Also, if you have a question, ask Alfihar and your issue will be gone.

Same purpose as forums? Absolutely not. It's just a bunch of geeks talking BS :p

It's dead sometimes, especially when Aussies are asleep but sometimes it gets very busy. Again, mainly offtopic stuff but what else would it be. Come back at some other time, maybe more people will be online then.

Yeah, fair enough. Really it's just a fun bunch of people having some fun conversations, noting serious, sometimes serious, but most the time tech, fun, gossip, etc! When the conversations getting going, it's hilarious. I suppose people who like crazy wacky chat :p :apple:

I say for people to come check it out at least :D

Yes, I use it occasionally. There's always something to do in there and if you have a technical question, someone will always gladly try to assist.

I tried to, but mibbit didn't like it so that was that ;)

edit - guess it's easy to join with adium

Newcomers, you have been warned. If the regulars are on, it gets interesting. Don't be intimidated by the nerds, we're up to chat about anything. It's almost pub banter most of the time in there (unless you want technical help in which case we get all helpful and to the point :)).

And how is that different from the forums?

Yup, there are a few mainstays on the channel, and they grouped into the London/Australia/US time zones. Good active times are usually the morning/evening for both Australia/UK time zones, and the afternoon for Americans.
