Just set it up to the LEAST warm setting and set it to turn on from 7Pm to 7AM, do you guys use night shift? and if so, what settings do you have it set at?

Yes, I use it. I have it at about the 50% point on my computers; a little bit warmer on my iOS devices.
What time do you have it set to turn on? i set mine to turn on at 7pm and turn off at 7am

I leave it on 24/7 at a very low amount, unless I'm working with images

White and blue-tinted screens are painful to look at these days

When working with color sensitive works (digital painting), I turn it off.
When working with 3D and CAD when color is not so important, I leave night shift enabled.

Personally, I enabled all this f.lux / night shift like features across my device, even on my Windows machine which natively supports it (called Night lights on Windows).

I even go further with set my surrounding working desk with yellow warm tone desk lamp. I quite night owl and find warmer light are more pleasant for longer working finishing deadline in midnight.

I don't use it. I try to not use a MBP late at night. I save stuff to pocket and read on my Kobo ereader before going to bed.

How do you have it turned on 24/7? I prefer a warm screen as well.

Yeah it’s a must-have feature for me. Even before it was introduced, I was using flux on my Mac and had a blue light filter film for my phone that I would put on at night. I have nightshift set differently for different devices. Since I use my Mac and 12.9” iPad Pro for work, and sometimes I work late, it’s set to 11pm to sunrise. For my iPad mini and iPhone which I use casually, it’s set from sunset to sunrise.

I stopped using it.

There were days where I fell asleep at work – unable to stay awake (!) – and worse. Night Shift messed up my life to a degree I had to see my doctor (to no avail – from a medical point of view I was healthy).

Then for a project my employer bought me the same laptop I already own privately to also use at home. I never turned on Night Shift on that device, despite working up to 70 hours per week on it. Two weeks later I was fine – despite the hard work – and I felt like I had woke up from a coma.
