Just wondering if anyone here uses Spaces? Do you use it for work related things or just tinkering around or what? Do you keep only a certain app like maybe iTunes in a 'space'?

i really like the concept when I first saw it, I just never really got into the habit of using it. So I never use spaces. I just pile up the windows in a sloppy way, and when I need to find a certain window then I use expose. (Which I miss terribly whenever I'm on my work Vista machine  )

I live by it. 9 spaces, each with a specific role. That way I am able to separate my tasks and remove clutter. I used the multiple desktop feature Gnome and other Linux window managers before becoming a mac user. If I could tile windows within a space, I would be very happy.

I don't know how I ever lived iwthout spaces; using windows of course lol. Spaces is just something that all OSs should have, built right in.

Being a college student and always having to have all files at my fingertips is great. Also being able to devote specific webtops to subjects or tasks is great.

Yes! Spaces rules my world! Don't know how I could live without it! Keeping windows organized by activity is a must for me to focus :D

I've tried...it just gets confusing and hectic when your windows switch around all over the place. I've tried setting up specific types of apps in certain spaces.

The only thing I use Spaces for is for deciding if my new desktop wallpaper looks nice on a clean desktop.

Yup.

I sometimes use Spaces sometimes. You can switch between apps easily and your parents won't know.

Yes on my 11.6" MBAir only. On my other computers no need since I have more then enough desktop space.

No I do not keep any particular apps in particular spaces.

Cheers

I had a hard time fitting it into my workflow, until I finally found the perfect use for me. I have a space that's my Mac OS X desktop, and a space that is my work desktop via Citrix (and the Citrix Receiver app in the Mac App Store).

Ctrl-Up arrow and I'm on "my" computer, Ctrl-Down Arrow and I'm on my work computer. It's sooo fast and so nice, so easy. Makes working from home much, much more enjoyable.

I use Spaces all the time. I have four spaces setup to better organize my open apps. I use Spaces way more than I do Expose' actually. I'm using a 13" MacBook so it's almost a necessity to use Spaces. It's too bad that it's being dumbed down in Lion, but I digress.
