I prefer the look of a round watch but it kills a lot of functionality and display area, so no.
No offense specifically to you, but I wish people would just mostly leave polls answers as yes or no instead of adding reasoning into the options. My answer is no, but the only ”no” option in the poll is if I prefer the look of square watches - which I don’t.
Absolutely not for a smart watch. If I just needed a dial to tell time, then yes, it works great for traditional watches and I prefer it for traditional watches. However, this is an interactive mini computer worn on the wrist. You lose real estate at the corners with a round smart watch and the circle would have to be a lot bigger just to fit everything in that the Apple Watch squircle shape does.
Just imagine an elongated oval smart phone and how ridiculous that would be. Same thing.
