So im like new to this whole macbook thingy and this

"Do you want the application “java” to accept incoming network connections?" pop up with a "Allow and a "Deny" button. I pressed allow cause i didn't know what it was! was that the right choice? should i of pressed deny? idk just recently i found out that my firewall was off so i recently turn it on. idk what type of software i have, i haven't updated it yet since i got the mac in the summer of 2012. Sorry i get super paranoid when it comes to my computer, i mean i don't want some man watching me through my computer...

I looked inside my system Preference but the "JAVA" icon is nowhere to be found.

done, found no threats. scan with sophos anti-virus...im guess its just my paranoia?
