I just got a new 14" iBook today plug in the adapter Got a green glow…hit the power button…NOTHING!!

OK check the battery…seated properly still nothing!!

Any Ideas?

as you have just got it, you should call apple support..
besided that, you can probably try resetting the power manager
while the computer is switched off, Press and release shift-control-option-power simultaneously , wait for 5 second...press the power button
hope it snaps back...

:D BINGO! that did it thanks for the fast resoponse!

I'm a tower man We have one 17" here at the shop. This one is for my Father-in-law. This was an new trick for me!! What do you think the problem was…other than the Power manage neeede to be reset?
