I recently purchased a Mac Mini on eBay from a trusted seller. Included in the purchase was a bundled Magic Keyboard 2 and Magic Mouse 2 (space gray). The Mac mini and keyboard both look and perform perfectly, but the Magic Mouse 2 will not connect via Bluetooth. This is after charging overnight. I reached out to the seller who asked me if I had contacted Apple Support. I thought this was kind of odd since it was my understanding that the mouse is supposed to work right out of the box (just flip the switch on the back to show green). Is there something I'm missing with this? I've shaken it and there doesn't seem to be anything loose inside and the condition of the mouse itself is like-new. (I have no idea if Apple Support will even help me since the product is about a year old)

Thanks,
Jayson

Try connecting the MM2 to the Mini via lightning cable. That should force-pair the mouse to the computer... then remove the cable and see if it works...

dwfaust - ok, so the MM2 is now showing as connected via lightning cable to the Mac mini. The mouse has been charging for about 30 min now and the battery level still shows 0%. That should be at least 20%, right?

Thanks

Yes, the batteries charge up fairly quickly... if you've been charging for 30 minutes and still at 0% charge, I'd say the battery (and MM2) are DOA.
