I know this may be a simple fix but it has been driving me nuts for some time now. I have .doc files created on microsoft word 2007 at my job. I get home to open them on my mac with word for mac 2008 and everything from fonts to margins are all screwed up. Please help.

I can only guess it's something about your preferences or set up. I routinely edit Word 2007 docs in Word 2008 with zero formatting issues. Make sure the same fonts are installed on both computers.
