iPod touch Dock Cable Replacement...

my dock cable is messed up, my ipod is under warranty, the cable is included in the warranty...

why do i have to pay $20 with a credit card i don't have to get the damn cable?

there are no nearby Apple stores. will a Best Buy do the same for me? becasue they have the "Authorized Apple Dealer" thing going.

Call up Apple support and see what they say. The best advice I can give you is Apple Docking cables are junk. You can go to Amazon and get docking cables that are just as good for a .99 cents. they don't last any longer then the Apple cable but at .99 cents who cares you can purchase 20 of them for the same price. When one fails chuck it in the trash and reach for a new one.
