Mine does the same thing. Only it is right after I log in and it gets slightly bigger. It really bothers me because I'm kinda OCD about the dock being the same width as the hinge. Don't know what causes it, but it doesn't affect the rest of the computer so I just resize it and go on with my life.

It's not a big deal to me, I was just curious. I captured the video because I was convinced I was going mad.

Have you tried repairing your permissions?

No.

I've never actually caught mine changing. I usually leave to go do something else for a minute or two while my computer starts up so I miss it every time.

Good to know I'm not the only one with this issue though. I thought I was going mad too.

so, the video isn't active anymore - so I'm not sure if I have the same issue, but...

If I make my dock the size I want on the left of the screen, and have itunes (for example) full screen to the edge of the dock, so it all looks nice... then always at some point a gap occurs - mostly because itunes has moved a little I think.

anyone else seeing this?

cheers. :(

No, I'm not gonna? Or no, but I will? Or what?
If you try that and it doesn't help, you could try replacing the com.apple.dock.plist file. Do you know the drill?

Just in case, give me:
No, please give more detail.
or
No, and I don't want to try.
or
Yes, but I don't think that will help.
or
Yes, and I tried, and ______ happened.
