i used to customize my dock color. i had it as dark gloss (the black one) from dock doctor, and it worked fine. i switched it back to default one day, now i can't switch it back to dark again. i tried superdocker and it says it worked but then it just relaunches the dock with the default white gloss. =/ any ideas?

Try restoring to the original dock using superdocker (love that app) then try customizing it again.

You could also try the "killall Dock" command to see if that resets it.

ok now killall Dock works but i still can't change the color.

edit: just kidding, superdocker works now i wasnt saving before applying... but superdocker can only change by color right? can't apply downloaded docks? cause i loved the black glass dock from dock dr. ... which still won't work.

edit2: fixed it. took the dark glass dock file from superdocker and saved it as a .dockSD3 and opened it, and applied. then i uninstalled dockdr with appzapper. woo!

dockcolor only lets you change to specific colors, not patterns or any picture. dockdr won't work for me anymore so i uninstalled it but took the custom dock images and made them into superdocker files.
superdocker lets you use any set of images for your dock. just look at one of their given files for an example of what components you need. dockdr used to let me do this, but it broke or something. =/

what about candy bar? I have it, but havent messed with the dock colours...

I downloaded superdocker the other day and it's awesome! Thanks for the suggestion man.
