Dock connection doesn't always register..

Hello,

I went to plug my iPhone into my computer tonight, and instead of syncing it did nothing.

I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in, and still nothing.

When I moved the cable around a bit in the port, it seemed to register at that point.

Is my dock connector going out, or is this common? Should I worry?

My phone is still under warranty, but I would like to know if this is an actual problem before I go to apple. I don't want to deal with the inconvenience of not having a phone...I'm on verizon...switching cell phones isn't exactly an easy thing to do.
