"Dock Connector" flashing in Music Apps

I have a strange issue in Music Apps (Pandora, Last FM, Slacker, Ipod) when I am connected to my Griffin Autopilot. It randomly flashes between the volume bar and the text "Dock Connector." I think it started happening when I upgraded to 3.0 with my 3G, but it also does it on my 3GS. Does anyone else have this problem? It does not affect music playback or charging the best I can tell, but it is annoying to see it flashing "dock connector" every few seconds. I'm trying to figure out if its a problem with the Griffin Autopilot or a software glitch in 3.0.

FYI, I just exchanged the Griffin Autopilot for a brand new one and it does the exact same thing so it appears to be a bug in the 3.0 software. Of course I get the airplane mode message when I plug it in so Apple can just say the device is not supported I suppose.
