i typed in killall Dock in terminal and my dock disappeared.
i was hoping that dock will relaunch...but it didnt

how can i get my dock back?
is there like a "system restore"?

theres no system restore but you can restore from a Time Machine backup if you have one but leave that as a last resort.

first try pressing "command-option-D" to see if its just hidden. if that didnt work try going to the CoreServices folder which is inside the System Library and launching the Dock application. if no luck then try a restart.

dock is not hidden and i tried restarting it...nothing happened

do you have a Time Machine backup? restart into your install DVD, choose your language and choose Restore backup from the Utilities menu. then restore to a date when you think your Dock was working.

if not ill upload Dock.app for you.
