From Snow Leopard to Mavericks it was possible to change the way that List view in Stack folders worked.

By running : defaults write com.apple.dock use-new-list-stack -bool YES - one could change the format of the list view to mirror the Grid settings, i.e. one could change the icon sizes and also drag items from the list.

In Yosemite it seems strange that this no longer works, as there don't seem to be any other changes to the way these folders work. One can still change the item size & drag items out of the Grid format.

Does anyone have any idea how one can get this to work again ?

My problem is that with tenuous eyesight - the List items seem SO small, compared to how i had it set up before moving to Yosemite. I know i could change to Grid but a vertical column of items is so much easier to deal with.
