I know the official iPhone 4 dock won't fit with the bumper on, but after a year has any third party come out with one? Or is the universal dock without insert still the only option?

You can use a knock-off dock of the official Apple one. I ordered one and it fits the phone with the bumper on and with room to spare

Shipping takes awhile though. About a week since it's from China.

Bought one of their black docks, and it fits an iphone + bumper perfectly.
They also do lots of other bits and pieces as well.

Find a universal dock on eBay or Amazon, the base should be slightly larger than the original. My phone sits perfectly with the bumper case on.
This place in the UK has one compatible with the bumper, I don't have one myself but the reviews seem to be quite good for it.
