Dock icon issue

I have a macbook pro running 10.6.6 and my documents icon on the dock looks like a generic folder. It is the document icon in finder but when I put it on the dock it looks terrible next to my applications folder because of the weird gap.

I hope somebody knows how to fix this, thanks!

Right click
Select Display As Folder

I can't tell from your tiny image, but is there an icon kind of popping up behind the folder? If so, that's because it's set to Display As Stack.
