Tonight I was restarting my MBP to shake the dust out of an unusually long run and all was well until I went for the dock, which I keep hidden until I need it. It is suddenly off to the right side of the screen as you can see here.

I tried restarting again, moving it to the sides of the screen and back, killing it, everything I can think of but nothing works. Has this ever happened to anyone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

This is caused by a normally hidden setting in the Dock preferences file. You can fix this in 3 ways:

1. Edit the plist (with Property List Editor, your favorite text editor, or the defaults command in Terminal)
2. Move the plist elsewhere.
3. Delete the plist.

Make sure you kill the Dock process after making any of these changes, so it takes effect.
