Dock on side of Desktop is Messed Up

I noticed this since the 10.7.1 update, and just noticed it's still here with the 10.7.2 update. I haven't posted about it here, and I'm not sure if anyone else has. If they have, my apologies.

I like my dock in the center, with no magnification, and no hiding. I'm not sure if there is anyone out there who likes it on the side of the screen, but has anyone else had a weird gradient coming out from the side?

I have a 2011 21.5" iMac, and I'm not sure if it's just a unique issue for me.

I have my bar on the left side and don't have that problem. Did you try to change the bar back to the bottom and than to the side?

Yes I have. It's not really an issue for me because I like my dock on the bottom, but I still don't know why it's doing that.
