"Dock" or "attach" windows to the side of screen?

Hey everyone!

I am using a program to give my ical an "agenda" view to help me keep track of what I have to do during the day. It'd be helpful if I could "dock it" to the side (so no windows can go past the beginning of the window). Not sure if this is possible (if using a 3rd party program to dock any window)
