Hey all,

I'm using Leopard 10.5.6 and I have a small problem with my dock. I've positioned it at the left side of my screen and use the spacing-strip to resize it. I always set it at the point where the big • (dot) in front of the icons just changed into a smaller dot — so the first size at which you see the small dots.

Now, after a while the dock magically grows (a few sizes) and the dots change to the big dots with — obviously — also bigger icons. And I have no clue why. I usually have about 5 to 10 icons in the dock, so there's enough room on the top and bottom. And I'm absolutely certain that I don't change the size myself.

I've had it for a while now; I think it was already doing the same thing in 10.5.5. Does anyone recognize this? Any solutions? Am I doing something wrong or am I seeing things?

Thanks in advance!
