Dock Separator

If I recall I used to have a vertical bar that separated my application icons and download/trash icons on my doc. Now I currently have 6 or 7 squares in that spot that start out large and become smaller. I put my mouse over it and get an arrow that allows me to resize the dock. Any way to get the old divider back or just eliminate these boxes in general? Thanks

That's the way the dock looks in Leopard. Other people have been pimping out their dock, but I don't have any info on that. To me the new separator looks like a crosswalk...

You could edit the image file for the separator, its located in the Dock resources folder. Just make sure you back up before hand just in case something goes wrong.

Here is an article about how to modify your Dock. Just be sure you're comfortable doing it and back up the files first.
