Just looking for some opinions on whether this is considered normal or not?
99% of the time, when I start my rMBP (auto login enabled) the desktop appears with the menu bar and the dock already in place. But on at least two occasions the desktop and menu bar have loaded and there's been a noticeable delay (5-10 secs) before the dock 'slides' onto the screen. I reboot it shows immediately again and the issue can't be reproduced for the rest of the day no matter how many times I reboot.
The only thing that seems common is if the machine has been off for at least 24 hours, so not sure if it's additional background tasks from the longer downtime slowing proceedings enough to be noticeable.
Is this just another of El Capitan's quirks (my old 2010 MBP) seemed to have a few glitches running EC (dock icons bouncing off the edge of the screen for example!)
