Not having this issue with any other Catalina machine, however my new Air (new one just refreshed this year) has this issue.
When l log out, the dock does the hiding away motion like it should. However, a "copy" remains. When I get to the login screen, all is well. Any user account, safe mode, in place re-install, wiped the machine (erased the drive). Issue persists.
Is this a bad machine or something software related? I can't tell at this point.
