hi All

just got my 27 inch Imac, did all software updates and Dock will not magnify...

when I first went to settings it magnified a little (as in it magnified my dock icons just a little), and I already thought that this was odd. After setting my hot corners it did not magnify at all...

Any tips on how to fix this??? It's not a big issue but I would like everything to work like it should :)

replace com.apple.dock.plist ??

You should find the above in Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences
(There are other Library folders. Has to be that one!)
Move that file to your Desktop.
Now do something to the Dock. Just click something, right or left click.
This will cause a new plist file to be generated in Preferences with default settings.
Now try to magnify. Does it work?

If that doesn't work go into users/user/Library/Preferences and trash both the com.apple.dock.plist and the com.apple.dock.db files, then go into Terminal and type

Code:
$ killall Dock

Your dock should revert to its default state. If neither of these work then something deeper is going wrong and you may need to reinstall Snow Leopard
