A silly question, I know, but I was wondering if anyone might have a reason why or what conditions exist for the iPhone to either continue playing music through its onboard speakers, or when it stops when docked?

I cannot seem to figure out what conditions exist for each action.

Does anyone know which criteria need to be met to cause either condition?

Or if it is merely a small bug?

Anyone else experience anything similar to this?
My guess is I might be alone/in a very small minority because of the specific hardware/software combo.

Ironically, it seems to commonly choose my personal desired mode of operation... In that if I am listening to a good song it continues unabated, but if I am instantly ready to do something that requires computer speakers it seems to shut off...

One of the few odd things that does not bother me as the randomness of it is usually remarkably in my favor.

But it perplexes me why there are 2 different reactions for seemingly the same action of just plopping it onto the apple iPhone dock?

The only correlation I have noticed is whether I had the iPhone in use very soon before being docked, but I have not found any solid cause and effect.

TIA
