Docking Non-BT Moto Phone Through USB?

Title says it all. Is there any way to do this?

Short of shelling out $50 for DataPilot or a few hundred for a non-Moto phone or a Moto with BT (which is still an enormous hassle), I don't know what to do.

iSync sees the phone just fine. System Profiler recognizes it as a USB device, but it doesn't dock on the desktop and I can't browse the phone by any means possible.

I'm tired of having to use my dad's ****** Dell laptop as a go-between. It's a big hassle transferring files from my iMac to the laptop then to the phone and back again. It's ridiculous.

Any ideas?
