Anyone,
I’m trying to have my MBP double as a desktop when I’m stationary for long periods of time. Being new to the Mac world, is it possible to use my old LCD monitors with my MBP, I have two and I want to run dual monitors. Also, is there a docking station for the new 17” MBP’s ?

I've used my Macbook with plenty of additional monitors and tv's so i don't think you will have a problem there. Obviously you will need the right adapter.

As for a docking station, there isn't one in the traditional form, however the apple's 24" LED cinema display would do the job quite nicely. It provides charging, usb hub, additional speakers, isight camera etc. There are other screens on the market that can provide the usb hub features but none I know of are as well designed and integrated with the macbook in mind. I would definitely get one if I had the spare cash.
