I have it working but switching the no page dots option doesn't work and if I install nopagedots7 then it removes my dock, icons and all. This is on a 6+, I had to completely remove it from my iPad Air.

All I'm wanting is a transparent dock and no page dots, any ideals or a better tweak I can't find on my own?

Use Springtomize 3 for IOS 7 and 8. It has the option to remove page dots, hide the dock background and so much more. It's the best!

Dockshift is not ready for iOS 8.

Yup, it does, but a friend of mine had a problem with it, all the icons vanished from the bottom row, where the dock is....after uninstalling it, everything came back to normal.....I personally prefer ClassicDock :)

I got rid of it and installed ClassicDock and nopagedots7 and now I'm happy.
