Document Recovery Software

I use Stellar for photos and music and it works out great, but is there such an app that specializes in Microsoft Word documents?

To most Data Recovery software a file is a file. I don't know why a program would "specialize" in one type of file over another, and certainly haven't heard of something that looks extra hard for MS Word files.

Data Rescue 2 is one of the top programs, why don't you like it?

Try Testdisk/Photorec, they're free and they work very well.
