Documents in the cloud, "resolve conflict"

my icloud seems to be working well with all my devices, with one small exception, Pages.

when i make a change to one document on one device, there is an alert that pops up on the others that saying 'resolve conflict' and it will tell me that one document has been changed and will ask me basically to accept changes or ignore them on them on the new device i'm working on (if i change on mac, the alert pops up on iPad, or viceversa)

how can i get the devices to accept whatever changes automatically? so i don't get an alert?
