A week or so ago, I began adding to a couple Pages documents on my Mini. The changes were saved on the Mini.

Prior to my edits, those Pages documents showed on the MBP, but now I can't seem to see the updated documents on the MBP.

The only change was running a Cat6 to a wireless router in the room with the computers, instead of connecting via the wireless signal from the router in the living room.

I can't figure out how to change the Sharing, even though both computers are connected?

Mahalo for some clues...

Is the new wireless router configured as a router or as an wireless access point? Reason for asking is the new router is configured as a router it will function as a firewall separating the networks. In my house, only the router connected directly to the WAN is configured as a router, the rest are configured as access points so everything connected is on the same network.

That's all well and good, but I need a path to solve this issue.
I am assuming that your Mini uses an Ethernet connection to the router in the living room. If that is the case, the next step I would take is to read the documentation on the router in the room with the computers to see how to login to the router and then set it up as a wireless access point instead of a router. If you just plug it in without changing any settings it will be functioning as a router and block connectivity between the MBP and the mini.

The only solution I see is forgetting the router in the living room.

But why would I have to do that?

Why can't I just change the settings?

And here's another issue, during a recent power outage, I connected my Bose ear buds to the laptop for the first time, and now even though I've never connected my Bose headphones, Mac keyboard or Mac mouse, none of my wireless devices work properly unless I power down the laptop?

The iPhone is also connecting, but it's supposed to connect.

That's beginning to sound like an issue with your laptop, unfortunately I am at a loss as to what may be causing the problem.
