Dodged the Pre-order gauntlet but now what about the fedex signature?

First I had and eta of 9/28 then 9/23 now my Iphones are both in root for tomm the 16th but..... I will not be home to sign for them and you can't pre-sign for them on Fedex.com besides calling in sick any ideas?
