Just picked up a new Macbook Pro 15" w/ touchbar. I am having serious issues with the spacebar being super sensitive (two spaces with one tap, add a period when i hit the bar once, etc) or not working at all.

Not sure if this is a widespread issue or if I am hitting it to hard? I tend to type pretty hard normally. Could be the issue?

Typing hard could be the cause, but you should be able to type hard. Try another MBP 15 and see if it works better.

Let it settle for a week or so. A lot of keys are coming from the factory and must require some kind of wearing in time. So you might experience slightly sticky keys or whatnot for a few days, but see how it is after a week of use and go from there.

Called Apple. They told me to do a CMC reset or w/e it was. Still super sensitive. Missing taps, adding spaces, etc.

Sound advice. thanks!
