Does 1.1.2 Nextsim work with firmware 2.1?

I have an OTB 1.1.2 iphone and i used nextsim (i think, it says China 3GPP on it, so im not so sure) to harware unlock. I was justs wondering if this hardware chip will still work if i update to firmware 2.1. Thanks!!

You don't need a Nextsim you can simply unlock your iPhone with software.
I used Quickpwn but there are other programs out there to unlock your phone.
