Any fellow G5 owners see their fan speeds go back to normal? I'll be pissed to high heaven if not. Apple better get back on the ball.

No G5 here, but my MBP C2D 2.3 (hey...that almost rhymes) started to heat up and the fans kicked on right after I applied the 10.5.1 update today. It was sitting there with the screen saver running and not doing anything at all. I was a little pi**ed about THAT. It seems to have come back to normal now, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

I have a G5. Fans are normal with 10.5 (and 10.5.1).

Do you have any SATA cards? eSATA has a known issue with 10.4/10.5 (firmware update needed).

Sleep issues with fans going on

I'm not sure if this helps but since the 10.5.1 update, my G5 won't sleep properly anymore. Fans just kick into full and it sounds like a jet engine. Can't wake it up and have to hold down the power button to shut it off. I think they call that a kernel panic... It would take me more effort to downgrade to 10.5.0 than to wait for 10.5.2

For the record, during normal work, fans seem normal, but they were normal before...

I have same issue as well, dont know why? Jet fans when Sleep and cant wake up anymore.
