Does a cracked iPhone 5 screen mess with the warranty?

I cracked my screen in October, but just recently the lock screen button has stopped working. If I bring it to an Apple Store would the screen being cracked mess with the warranty at all and stop me from just swapping out phones?

Visible damage will void the warranty and you will have to pay. You could get lucky if you are nice and honest though.

Just take it in and talk to them, they can be very understanding.

Apple can be nice

They swapped my iPod Touch with a broken screen because a dropped it with a refurb of the same model when i took it into an Apple Store. Give them a chance and try to look sad and pathetic. (I also brought my supercute 4 year old son with me for extra brownie points..)
