I have a small crack on the screen, would that mean the AppleCare would be void if anything else is wrong with the MacBook not relating to the screen? Or would I have to pay to have the screen fixed before they would look at the other issue? For example a faulty speaker and charge port?

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, do you know what caused that to crack? Its actually the plastic bezel, not the glass. I know in older MacBooks if the computer got too hot it would cause the plastic to crack and Apple covered it in some cases.

You can even buy just that plastic part to repair it too!

Im pretty darn sure its glass and apart from plastic replicas on ebay (which aren't very good) I don't believe it can be replaced, or at least replaced well enough for apple not to spot it.

I don't think that bezel part is glass. I would have guessed aluminum, but it might be plastic (and since it appears to have cracked, plastic seems more likely than metal). Either way, it's just the bezel and not the screen itself, so I would say it's just cosmetic.

it's a glass, really bad design comparing to sturdy plastic in older retina models, which was even replaceable
