Does Account Holder Have to be Present During Upgrade?

I might head over to the apple store to pick up the iPhone 4 (early am waiting in line, no pre-order). I am buying it no-commitment. I am however on a family plan and am not the primary account holder. Would I still be able to upgrade without any problem?

It seems to depend on the specific Apple store. From people's experiences posted in other threads, some stores are more strict than others. You definitely need to have the last four digits of the account holder's SS#.

(AT&T stores don't require the account holder to be present.)
