Does airport extreme work with the Remote app?

Considering getting AirPort Extreme. Does it work with the remote app? If I plug the audio out into the aux of my Sounddock 10 will I be able to control everything from the rookie app.

I use home sharing but its super buggy with iOS 6 and I'm looking for an alternative. It worked perfectly on iOS 5.1 , takes forever to load on IOS 6 and it only shows songs, playlists, and genres

The airport extreme doesn't have a audio out. Your thinking of the airport express.

A airport express will work with the remote app, you just select what you want to listen to and then switch airplay on to the airport express.
