I want to get another macbook since my 13'' uni got stolen but i dont want to lay down another fortune on one. I found one with a broken HD, 1 ghz powerbook G4 15'' 256, IL. He says it works with an external hard drive

How mcuh should i pay for this? he's asking 350 negotiable. Is this even worth buying, has potential? Can it run iMovie and garageband? Upgradeable? Thanks

Unless it was a mint condition Titanium powerbook that hasn't been taken out of the box, then it's a REALLY BAD deal. Maybe it's worth $150 at best. You could easily get a much better 1.5 or a 1.67ghz aluminum in good condition for that price.

Yup. I wouldn't even pay $100 for it.

You'd probably have trouble doing basic things like watching YouTube. your productivity will suffer tremendously. Avoid!
