iPad mini Does anybody else has lag problems with ipad mini retina or even air?

My ipad mini retina is 32gb and it's on ios 7.1. I restored the ipad and set it up as new but: when I rotate the ipad with spotlight on it lags, when I rotate the ipad while on app store or in music app. Practically all the lag problems are because of the rotate animation.

is this immediately after you restored? I'm fairly sure that Spotlight indexes everything new on a device, which may cause initial lag due to demand on hardware.
