I use to before the AW, and neither have a noticeable impact on battery life. low energy BT is really good.

I do and it didn't seem to impact my battery life negatively at all. In fact, my battery life improved a bit as I was pulling it out less to check the time and notifications...

I just bought a new iphone 7 plus and I thought pebble is one factor that drains the battery life really fast, maybe not.

I definitely think your Pebble Watch would not be the issue for your battery drain concern.
