Does anybody remember how Apple's Black Friday deals last year compared to Edu?

Actually managed to talk my wife into an i7 iMac, so now I'm faced with the gut-reaction decision of ordering one RIGHT NOW or waiting until Black Friday on the off chance that the discounts then will be better than my standard Higher Education staff discount (which isn't bad).

Ignoring the rumors of massive 25% discounts this year, does anybody remember if last year the Holiday Binge discounts were any better than edu? The Edu discounts are currently $100 (5%) off the quad core, and $20 (10%) off the i7 upgrade, for reference.

The Black Friday discounts are normally $101, EDU discounts normally result in $100.

Sorry about the duplicate posting. Reading this site daily for years and it never even occurred to me that one of the guides would include past Black Friday sales.

Live and learn, and it sounds like drooling gun-jumping is the order of the day.

Wonder if the 14-day price protection works on sales.

since you are in CA, figure tax, so from the Apple store:

$2199 + $200 tax = $2400 - $120 discount = $2280, or $80 more...

I saw one from Powermax, and they do not charge tax, Is that means this is better than buying the i7 from apple?
