Does anyone constantly get this (or these kind of) notification from Twitter?

I want Twitter notifications, so I don't want to turn them off... but I'd like to turn ones like this off of course.

Go to twitter -> Settings -> click on your account -> click on tweets and turn off.

Yeah, it's a little irritating. I'd prefer to have selective notifications for twitter, such as... don't bother me if so and so favorited something -- I don't care. DO notify me if I got a follower or retweet or @.

I'm leaning toward just turning it off entirely since it's notifying me about things I don't care about.

They're seemingly odd and random. I just turned mine off a few minutes ago because I got a notification that @americanairlines and @usairways followed some @someone. REALLY?!

Until they make a little more sense and/or become relevant or let us select the types of notifications, I'll pass.

Given the recent changes to Twitter this does not sound like a bad idea

Those are promoted tweets, which is why you're seeing them. I have noticed that TweetBot doesn't show those to me though...
