I have an iPad and MBP, and lately I've fallen into the habit of accidentally "tapping" on my screen to try to open links or files. After it doesn't respond to several taps, I finally realize "yikes!...this isn't a touchscreen!".

Anyone else do this?

Nope. Doesn't it feel awkward to position your hand to do that, though?

I feel like keyboard shortcuts are just so much faster.

While I don't want a touch screen on my MBP - I do confess, I have caught myself tapping the screen and wondering why I can't get it to work!! Too much time playing on my iPad I guess. :p

Yep, tried using my Toughbook stylus on mine this morning to highlight text for a contract. Have fingerprints on it regularly late at night when im tired and forget what computer im using.

all the time. Especially since I use my iPad with a keyboard, when I sit with my laptop I will often forget and tap the screen. Several times.

Only if I've been using my iPad Pro with a keyboard for a few days at a time, the muscle memory is still there and I'll very occasionally touch the screen.

I don't want a touchscreen on my Mac, but having one on the iPad, even with the Magic Keyboard in place, is nice when I can quickly touch the screen to do something.
