So I have the Apple Watch series 6 - has always worked brilliantly, but the last few months the ECG functionality has completely stopped working - I just assumed it was a broken crown, it just does not register my finger touching it at all.

Last night I accidentally pushed in the crown, and it actually works perfectly! (albeit with a message telling me that I do not need to press the crown in)

So it seems the hardware is working fine, but some weirdness with the software - has anyone else had this happen? I uninstalled and reinstalled.

I have a Series 6 as well and this has been happening to me on and off for the past year. I have been unable to figure out the cause. It would not work at all for a few months and then suddenly started working again. Now it works most of the time, but every once in a while bugs out again. I think it must be software related. 🤷🏻
